CHARLESTON, West Virginia (August 8, 2016)- Wild, Wonderful West Virginia announced the new Craft Beer Guide–a traveler’s guide to the brews, breweries, and craft beer events across the state–is now available by calling 800-225-5982 and will soon be available in all eight Welcome Centers.  Request a guide online and be entered to win prizes such as tastings, brewing experiences, the opportunity to create an experimental batch, and more!

“Our local brews–made by passionate and talented West Virginians–showcase our state’s Real. Mountain Flavor. From classic staples to limited release seasonal brews, you’ll find it here,” Commissioner of Tourism Amy Shuler Goodwin said. “Visit our breweries, brewpubs and events to see–and taste–handcrafted West Virginia beer.  And be sure to check out our suggested stops along the way.”

The pocket guide is divided into regional trails and craft beer events. To be included in the guide, a facility must be open to the public. It also includes a section where travelers are able to collect Craft Beer badges. Users can also collect badges through the GoToWV app, available on iOS and Android.

The Craft Beer Guide will also be available at: Rails and Ales in Huntington (August 13); Brew Skies at Timberline Four Seasons Resort (August 19-20); and Mountaineer Brewfest in Wheeling (August 20).

The Craft Beer Guide joins the Wine and Spirits Guide and Summer Guide as the latest in a series of pocket guides created by Wild, Wonderful West Virginia. To request your free copy, visit GoToWV.com/Craft-Beer-Trail/ or call 800-225-5982.
