Wild, Wonderful West Virginia Announces Summer Guide Now Available

Visitors and locals encouraged to continue to travel and support local communities 

 

CHARLESTON, West Virginia (July 7, 2016) – Wild, Wonderful West Virginia today announced the new Summer Guide–a traveler’s guide to summertime recreation, flavors, tunes, and events throughout the Mountain State—is now available by calling 800-225-5982 and will soon be available in all eight Welcome Centers.

“Summertime in West Virginia is full of amazing outdoor recreation, delicious food, mountain music and more. This guide will help folks discover new experiences and adventures–further supporting our local communities,” Commissioner of Tourism Amy Shuler Goodwin said. “We’re  excited to welcome visitors to the Mountain State and encourage you to share your memories with #MyWV.”

The pocket guide highlights classic summer activities, adventure destinations, summertime flavors and events. It also contains a section of summer badges that can be collected via the GoToWV app available for iOS and Android.
