Registration Open for 2016 Governor’s Conference on Tourism: #MyWV: Sharing Real Stories

Enter MyWV video contest for chance to receive waived registration

CHARLESTON, West Virginia (August 15, 2015) – Wild, Wonderful West Virginia encourages travel and tourism industry members to register for the upcoming Governor’s Conference on Tourism, hosted in collaboration with the West Virginia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus and the West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association.  This year’s conference, #MyWV: Sharing Real Stories, will take place September 25-28 at Canaan Valley Resort and Conference Center in Davis.  Three individuals will have the opportunity to receive waived registration as part of the MyWV video contest.

“We’ve secured top marketing professionals to share best practices, and created a robust schedule of ‘no filler’ workshops for this year’s Governor’s Conference on Tourism,” Commissioner of Tourism Amy Shuler Goodwin said. “We’re excited to extend the #MyWV theme into this year’s conference and encourage our partners to share their favorite real stories and experiences on camera. Three lucky winners will receive waived registration.”

Travel and tourism industry members interested in participating in the MyWV video contest for a chance to receive waived registration can enter by sharing a one minute video about what he/she loves about Wild, Wonderful West Virginia (adventures, food, places, etc). Videos must be submitted to jane.m.bostic@wv.gov by September 12 at 5 p.m. with the subject line: MyWV.
