Did you know that West Virginia has the East Coast’s longest zipline? Meet AdrenaLine, 3,150 feet of excitement. You’ll probably hit 60 mph— plenty of speed, with nothing but roaring wind as a reference point.

2. Mega Zip Line

River Riders, Harpers Ferry

This ride really makes you feel like you’re flying. You’ll lay in the harness “Superman style.” The Mega Zip Line is 2,100 feet long and pretty snappy at 50 mph. Bring a pal for a dramatic race to the finish!

3. Grand Vue Park Canopy Ride

Grand Vue Park, Moundsville

The park’s 2,100-foot-long dual-racing zipline gives you sweeping views of forests and the town below.

4. Burning Rock Express Racing Zipline

Burning Rock Express, Sophia

Test your mettle. This zip will fling you 2,500 feet down the line at 60 mph. You’ll also drop more than 300 feet in the process.

5. The Plunge

ACE Adventure Resort, Minden

At 350 feet long, The Plunge is the shortest zipline on this list. But there’s a catch: you have to sit backwards on a platform before resigning yourself to gravity.

6. WVU’s Outdoor Education Center West Virginia University

Research Forest, Bruceton Mills

WVU’s canopy tour has 3 ziplines ranging from 201 to 750 feet. Feel free to calculate the physics behind these rides, or just appreciate nature.

7. New River Gorge Bridge Highline

During Bridge Day at the New River Gorge Bridge, Fayetteville

Want to test your bravery? Try this annual ride on Bridge Day. You’ll be able to fly off the catwalk and descend 700 feet towards the Gorge.
