FestivALL Fall

October 18, 2018 - October 21, 2018

FestivALL Charleston will celebrate FestivALL Fall for its 7th consecutive year. The festival will extend the popular city-wide multi-arts summer event into autumn for a weekend full of visual art, music, dance, theater and family fun from October 18-21, 2018.

Main events for FestivALL Fall 2018 include:

-My Art, My Town Contest & Exhibition – Oct. 18 – “My Town, My Art” is an amateur art competition and temporary exhibition exploring the city of Charleston through the eyes of its beholders. What do you love about Charleston? What do you want others to notice? Artists of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Submissions will be accepted through October 10, and will be on display on October 18 during the FestivALL Fall ArtWalk.

-Harvest Art Fair – Oct. 20-21 – The 6th FestivALL Harvest Art Fair is an indoor extension of the summer Capitol Street Art Fair.  It takes place at the elegant Woman’s Club on Charleston’s East End by the WV Capitol.  The same high standards apply to the fine art and fine crafts, and most of the thirty or more artisans also participate in the Capitol Street Art Fair.

-Carriage Trail Leaf Walk – Oct. 21 – Revel in the colors of West Virginia’s fall foliage at the Carriage Trail Leaf Walk on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 1-4pm. Enjoy “Shel Silverstein Shorts” by Alban Arts Center and other vignettes from the Children’s Theatre of Charleston, live music by Huntington, WV’s Friendly Fire, musical easels and other artful adventures. Take a stroll on this .65 mile trail and experience the arts in a not so typical place.

-Mountain Stage with the Bottle Rockets, Amy Helm and more! – Oct. 21 – West Virginia Public Broadcasting produces this live music radio show. Mountain Stage is distributed by NPR on over 200 stations nationwide and overseas. Be a part of theaudience when Larry Groce welcomes the Bottle Rockets, Amy Helm, John R. Miller and more to the Mountain Stage.

Other FestivALL Fall events include:

Hops & Heat, An Evening with West Virginia Dance Company, Acoustic Guitar Night, Charleston Chamber Music Society presents Dover String Quartet, Art After Dark, American Shakespeare Center presents the Comedy of Errors, Downtown ArtWalk and Tea and Tour.
