We’ve been foraging for generations, so we know how to make a wild mountain meal— a darn good one. We’re famous for our wild ramp onions in the spring, and fall harvest brings treats like apple butter.

We cook up fresh-plucked berries, herbs, mushrooms, dandelions (yes, the weed) and more. You can even try our wild game meats and fresh mountain trout.

Forage: Find your wild pick! For fresh fungi, join the WV Mushroom Club’s annual foray. Round up ramps from your ATV on foraging tours. Or uncover all the forest’s finest at the Wild Edibles Festival.

Feast: Not up for rooting around in the woods? No problem: get a taste of our wild flavor at local restaurants, shops, or fresh from the farmers markets.
