Wild, Wonderful West Virginia to Develop Haunted Trail

Attractions, events and destinations to be considered

CHARLESTON, West Virginia (May 13, 2016) – Wild, Wonderful West Virginia encourages industry partners to submit events, attractions and/or destinations for consideration for the Haunted West Virginia Trail, which will highlight the state’s haunted history.

“Folks love a good ghost story–whether it’s the legendary Mothman or the Greenbrier Ghost.  And many find visits to places like Lake Shawnee Amusement Park or the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum to be thrilling,” Commissioner of Tourism Amy Shuler Goodwin said.  “This trail will help travelers plan their paranormal adventures in the Mountain State–providing an inventory of haunted attractions, museum collections and more.”

Industry partners with an event, attraction and/or destination can submit an application online:  https://wvtourism.com/haunted-trail-application/ to be considered for the Haunted West Virginia Trail.
